International Human Resources Management

Globalization is a reality for many organizations. Given this reality, organizations must develop and implement models, tools and frameworks for Human Resources management. This concentration will provide students with a unique blend of theory and practice to help them analyze the vast array of employment practices, employment structures and human resources management strategies in a comparative and global context. The philosophy of the International Human Resources Management concentration is to provide the conceptual and practical tools necessary to address the impact of globalization on the practice of Human Resources. All courses will be taught from comparative and cross-national perspectives. The concentration is designed to equip students with an understanding of both the 'macro' and 'micro' aspects of International Human Resources Management to develop their awareness of the relationship between the two, and to acquire a thorough grounding in the strategic, legal, ethical and behavioral aspects of the employment relationship in International Human Resources Management. Students will spend a week at Sastra Angkor, An Institute in a unique immersion program where they will be instructed by Sastra Angkor Faculty in International Human Resources Management.
